KEYNOTE PRESENTATION 1 – Critical uncertainty – Preparing for the unpredictable.

Dr. Eeva Vilkkumaa is an Assistant Professor of Management Science at the Department of Information and Service Management at Aalto School of Business, Finland. She received her doctoral degree in 2014 at the Department of Mathematics and Systems Analysis at Aalto School of Science. Her research interests include multicriteria decision analysis, portfolio decision analysis, scenario methods, strategic foresight, behavioral decision theory, and applications to healthcare and strategy development. She has 18 years of experience in teaching courses on operations research, business analytics, and strategic foresight at Aalto University and Aalto Executive Education and Professional Development. Vilkkumaa has published in leading scientific journals such as Management Science, Operations Research, and European Journal of Operational Research. She has also been a partner and consultant in two companies specializing in the use of mathematical modeling for decision support and strategy development: Decision & Action (2016-) and Swanlake Strategy (2020-2024).

KEYNOTE PRESENTATION 2 – The new economic power struggle – risks and impacts for companies

Mikael is an expert in geoeconomics and economic security with extensive experience at the intersection of politics, economics, and security. He is the founder and CEO of the Economic Security Forum and teaches international political economy and geoeconomics at Tampere University, Aalto University, Hanken School of Economics, and as a visiting professor at the College of Europe. Previously, Wigell served as Research Director at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs, where he led research on geoeconomics, hybrid threats, and resilience. He is also a founding co-editor of the scholarly journal Law & Geoeconomics. Wigell has provided advisory services to institutions such as the European Parliament, the IMF, the OECD, and the Finnish government. He is part of the World Economic Forum’s expert network and holds a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics. He has also held visiting research positions at the universities of Oxford, Cambridge, and Johns Hopkins.

KEYNOTE 3 – Risk, strategy, and leadership: A leadership view on navigating uncertainty

Pia Aaltonen-Forsell is a Finnish finance leader with more than two decades of experience steering global industrial and technology businesses through growth, restructuring, and capital-intensive investment cycles. She will become Chief Financial Officer and Executive Board member of Finnair on 1 August 2025.
Before aviation, Aaltonen-Forsell served as CFO and Executive Management Team member at Northvolt (2024–2025). From 2019 to 2024 she was CFO of Outokumpu. Earlier roles include Executive Vice President & CFO of Ahlstrom-Munksjö (2018) and CFO posts at Munksjö, Vacon, and multiple senior finance positions at Stora Enso, covering M&A, IT, and group controlling.
Aaltonen-Forsell chairs the Audit Committee of UPM-Kymmene and previously held the same position on Uponor’s Board. She holds an MBA and an M.Soc.Sc. (Economics) and was born in 1974.

KEYNOTE 4 – Leadership in crisis – Crisis communication, ERM and uncertainty

Harri has over 40 years of experience in media, civic discourse and business and is one of the most famous crisis communications professionals in Finland.

Harri is an experienced communications coach and sparring partner for management teams and boards of directors. He has a deep experience and insight in communications, reputation management, media business and journalism.

Harri is an active non-fiction writer who has published, for example the book Against All Odds: My Emotional Journey with Nokia (2013). In addition, Harri acts as a Visiting Fellow at the University of Jyväskylä and as an expert member at University of Georgia’s Crisis Communication Think Tank.

Prior to founding Tekir, Harri had an award-winning career as a journalist, founded three TV production companies and held positions such as the Director of Content Production for Saunalahti and Content Director and Deputy Managing Director at Yhtyneet Kuvalehdet Oy (now Otavamedia Oy). Currently, he sits on the board of directors of three companies, in addition to Tekir.

KEYNOTE 5 – Modelling Uncertainty: The landscape of quantitative and structural analytical methods in ERM

Graeme is an independent advisor in the application of quantitative and structural analytical methods in risk management and strategy. He holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Cambridge University and has held several senior management positions, including Head of Enterprise Risk and Head of Strategy at Maersk Oil, and Vice President, Quantitative Risk, at Archer.

KEYNOTE 6 – Systematic risk management during turbulent times – a CRO perspective

After serving as a commissioned officer in the Danish Army Lars got a master’s degree in law at the University of Copenhagen and spent 6 years as an Attorney at Law at the Danish law firm, Plesner. In 1998 he joined Maersk Oil, where he, after 5 years of posting in Qatar, became the General Counsel and Head of the Corporate Legal Department.

After being with Maersk Oil for 12 years Lars moved to the A.P. Moller-Maersk group in 2010, where he became Vice President and Head of Global Risk Management. He still holds this position today, as well as is the Managing Director of Maersk Insurance A/S.

In addition to these roles Lars is also Chairman of the board at the Danish Shipowners’ Accident Insurance Association, Board member in NorthStandard Reinsurance Limited, as well as Chairman of Danish Shipping’s Assurance Committee.
